STCW covers the standards of training and certification for all seafarers including standards for licensed deck and engineering officers, special training, emergency and security training.
The STCW Basic Safety Training course teaches you critical safety information to prepare you for work on a Cruise, Yacht or Cargo Ship. You will learn:

• Sea Survival Techniques
• Fire Fighting Skills
• First Aid/CPR
• and how to safely conduct yourself on board your ship/yacht.

Our experienced instructors will keep the practical courses exciting and fun, while teaching you critical lifesaving skills that could save yours or your fellow crew members life. Each of the course modules are taken online followed by 2 days of practicals at Cape Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale or Clearwater (Tampa)

What is STCW 95, is this the same as STCW 2010?
Sometimes referred to as STCW 78, 95 & 2010, STCW is the standards of training, certification and watchkeeping for seafarers and basically covers the requirements for all Maritime training. The publication is occasionally updated to reflect new training and certification requirements. The latest edition is 2011 and reflects the changes agreed to in 2010. All our training programs adhere to the latest standards.

Who needs STCW Basic Training?
The course is required for anyone working on a ship as part of the ships crew and the emergency response.

Is the 2 day STCW Basic Training the same as the 5 day Basic training?
Yes. The blended program is the same approval as the 5 day course, however the 2 day blended program consists of a combination of online training and attending 2 days of practical’s at one of our facilities. The 2 days fulfill the practical requirements for Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques and Basic First Aid/CPR.
