RAK Ports Training Institute

The RAK Ports TRAINING INSTITUTE (TI) was established in early 2017 as a distinct entity within the RAK Ports portfolio of service offerings and expertise centres.

In recent years, the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as experienced impressive economic development, much of which has been driven and supported by RAK Ports and particularly in Saqr Port, which is the largest bulk-handling port in the Middle East region, and RAK Maritime City, which is one of the Middle East’s principle free zones with waterside access.

The growth of industry and commerce in Ras Al Khaimah has also resulted in an expanding population within the emirate and surrounding regions. This is especially prevalent amongst those working within the industrial sector, with more and more businesses choosing to make Ras Al Khaimah their base of operations in order to benefit from the burgeoning economic conditions to be enjoyed within the emirate. The growing population of industrial workers, managers, directors, contractors, specialists and industry experts who have made Ras Al Khaimah their home has generated a need for a top-quality training facility offering a diverse range of educational courses and consultancy services – this is a need that the TI more than adequately meets on behalf of the community, providing best-practice training and learning services across a diverse range of disciplines.
