This course is the first level qualification for the MCA Engineering Officer training scheme. It is seen as the first rung on the engineering ladder for those with no formal marine engineering experience and is an ideal introduction for those who wish to improve and enhance their employment prospects in the various aspects of the marine industry.

During this very practical hands on course you will dismantle and rebuild marine diesel engines and petrol outboards to help you to gain an understanding of the working principles. The course covers:
