STCW Basic Safety Training (Package)

This course is the minimum level of qualification for those intending to work at sea in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW code.

Course content:

• Basic Safety Training in Elementary First Aid (EFA)
• Basic Safety Training in Personal Survival Techniques (PST)
• Basic Safety Training in Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (BFF)
• Basic Safety Training in Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR)

Course will give you good understanding of safety and emergency procedures. You will be familiar with rescue and evacuation. You will have performed crisis scenarios, handled fire-fighting equipment and learnt how to survive on sea.

Pre–Course Requirments
Training is an one week training course. Some aspects of this course are physically demanding so delegates need to complete a Medical Self Declaration Form prior to the start of the training.

Assessment
Multiple choice examination and practical assessments.

BST certificate is valid for 5 years.
