This STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR) online course forms part of the mandatory basic offshore safety training for all seafarers assigned with safety or pollution prevention duties. Its objectives are to give basic induction training in safety procedures and accident prevention and to familiarize personnel with the employment conditions and working environment on board vessels.

The course also includes new amendments required by the 1st of January 2026 covering two important topics; bullying and sexual harassment. In accordance with the amendments made in the IMO Modelcourse (1.21) as well as in the STCW Code. STCW Table A-VI/1-4. This course meets the latest requirements such as the implementation of MSC 560 (108) per 01-01-2026.

The STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (PSSR) online course is in accordance with the IMO model course 1.21

The course meets the mandatory minimum standards of competence in personal safety and social responsibilities in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code, Table A-VI/1-4. It is designed to prepare new recruits for life on a ship at sea, helping them adjust to the shipboard environment, understand hazards, procedures, and safe work practices before they step on board.
