Course Description:The course is designed for all seafarers and is intended to provide the knowledge required to enable personnel with basic security awareness in support of the Ships Security Plan. The course has been developed in accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention and the Manila Amendments of 2010, which detail a mandatory requirement for all seafarers to have received security awareness training by January 2014.

Maritine Coastguard Agency (MCA) approved.
