Course Description
This four day course builds candidates’ first aid skills gained in the EFA course and allows them to apply immediate first aid in the event of accident or illness on-board. The course thus helps the candidates achieve competency required to become designated first aiders on-board a ship.
Upon successful completion of the course, all candidates receive an STCW Proficiency in Medical First Aid Course certificate which must be obtained prior to undertaking any Officer of the Watch (OOW) level Certificate of Competency (CoC) examinations for both deck and engineer officers.
Additional training for AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) can be included upon demand.
