Palma Sea School's Approved Engine Course (AEC) is designed to give students a basic theoretcial and hands-on knowledge of diesel engines and associated systems.
This is a 30 hour course run over 4 days course with an assessment on the last day.
It is of interest to students who want to have a wider appreciation of basic marine diesel mechanics and electrics, with an understanding of the chief engineer’s responsibilities.
It is the first step for anyone wanting to pursue an engineering career for those with no formal marine engineering qualifications, or for those boat owners or skippers who wish to deepen their engineering skills.
