Purpose:

The STCW course is designed to meet the requirements of STCW II / 5. The course is open to seafarers who wish to obtain the appropriate certification to perform their duties on deck as a trained seafarer.

Description:

The course is designed to provide a student with the maritime knowledge and skills required to land a deck job as a trained seafarer.

Content:

• Auxiliary-level navigation
• Handling and stacking loads at an auxiliary level
• On-board job management and on-board care for people on board
• Auxiliary level maintenance and repairs

Duration: 40 hours

Condition:

• At least 18 years old
• Identity card or passport
• 2 color photos
• Valid Certificate A crew member who forms part of a navigational watch
• Valid Basic Safety Certificate on board
• 12 mo of navigation as a Crew Member forming part of a navigational watch (rudder)
• Course Certificate Prevention of Marine Environmental Pollution
• Doctor's conviction
