Purpose:

The STCW course is designed to meet the requirements of STCW II / 5. The course is open to seafarers who wish to obtain the appropriate certification to perform their duties in the engine room as a trained seafarer.

Description: The course is designed to provide a student with the knowledge and skills in seafaring needed to land a job in the engine room as a trained seafarer.

Content:

• Auxiliary-level marine engineering
• Auxiliary-level electrical, electronics and control techniques
• Auxiliary level maintenance and repairs
• On-board job management and on-board care for people on board

Duration: 40 hours

Condition:

• At least 18 years old
• Identity card or passport
• 2 color photos
• Valid Certificate A crew member forming part of a navigational watch in an engine room
• Valid on board safety certificate
• 6 mo of navigation as a Crew Member forming part of a Naval Guard in the Engine Room (Greaser)
• Course Certificate Prevention of Marine Environmental Pollution
• Doctor's conviction
