The Proficiency in Medical First Aid course contains both theoretical and practical elements to build capability and confidence when at sea. Learn how to deal with various medical emergencies including resuscitation, fractures, dislocations, and spinal injuries.

Pre-requisite experience:

Candidates must have successfully completed MCA approved training in Elementary First Aid (STCW A-VI/1-3).

Accommodation:

Food and accommodation are available onsite at UKSA.

Chief Mate (Yachts less than 3000gt)

Examination and assessment:

Upon successful completion of the four-day course you will gain the Proficiency in Medical First Aid (STCW A-VI/4-1) qualification.
