This training course is mandatory for masters, chief engineer officers, chief mates, second engineer officers and any person designated on the muster list of having responsibility for the safety of passengers in emergency situations on board passenger ships.

Certificate

To receive a certificate Passenger Ship Crisis Management and Human Behaviour the following steps should be completed:

Content

The training course Passenger Ship Crisis Management and Human Behaviour covers the following:

Organisation and handling in emergency situations, incl. decision making
Understand the importance of training, drills and exercises
Lead and take influence on persons in emergency situations
Improve your communication skills and understand stress and its effects in emergency situations

Exam

Once you have completed all chapters you will be able to take the assessment. Please read the assessment instructions carefully. The assessment consists of 25 multiple-choice questions, the pass grade is 70 %. Students who do not pass are able to review the course content and retake the assessment two times.
