Overview

The Dynamic Positioning Awareness course provides an overview of Dynamic Positioning and is designed for non DP operators such as Marine Engineers, Offshore Project Personnel and Shore based staff including Technical, HSE, HR and operations personnel.

The course will provide participants with an overview of Dynamic Positioning principles and operations. The course embraces “learning by doing” and as such more than 50% of the course will involve practical exercises. The course covers:

1. Principles of DP.
2. Elements of the DP System.
3. Position Reference Systems and Sensors.
4. Power Generation and Propulsion.
5. DP Modes, Planning and Operations.

On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
