STCW Basic Safety Training with 2010 manila amendments (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code.

Our week long STCW Basic Safety Training package will provide students with the practical skills and knowledge to be certificated for the five mandatory modules of training, as laid out in the STCW code. This course is the legal minimum requirement for anyone looking for work aboard commercial vessels over 24 metres.

During the STCW course you will fulfil the requirements for the STCW Basic Safety Training course regulations. The STCW course is intended for those mariners who wish to work on all classes of marine vessels internationally.

The elements candidates will obtain include:

• Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting
• Personal Survival Techniques
• Elementary First Aid
• Personal Safety & Social Responsibility
• Proficiency in Security Awareness

Pre-course experience:  None required

Candidates MUST be 16 years and older.
