  Course instruction was a good standard, meeting the requirements for updating knowledge, and refreshing the practical skills for applying treatments. In addition, the Academy is in a great location.

  I been in the yachting industry for 2 decades, I never seen any training school lack of education& communication and knowledge from top the bottom and failing equipment.words are not enough to describe .. dealing with them feels like banging your head against to wall save a headache and money .. and i am not only one , ppl scare to comment because they based around here and they have no other places to go .(edit: it amazing they never replied your mails, phones to ignore you best but reply this comment in few hours.. no need to look like you do care because you all know you dont )

  Completed the STCW and Deckhand courses here they are very well run, very professional and organised with good content for the courses specifically, the yachting industry and Phuket in general. Always happy to help you with anything you asked

  The Galileo academy is one of the finest i have been so far, everyone had made my stay there so accommodating. From Shemaine who had administered my course, Cpt Clive for his patience to guide us on the course, his dedication to share all his knowledge and experiences were just priceless. Noah, for all the assistance and his wonderful food onboard, the cook lady for her delicious thai meals, Thomas for making delicious dinner, Paul for supporting and everybody else that i met along the way.
  
  I wish all of you the best and I certainly will come back for more courses later on! So not a goodbye but i shall see you soon!

  What more can I say 5 ***** stars. I have completed many courses of the years and this is the best, bar none.... Shemaine and Tom are expectational operators and attention to detail to accommodate students requirements. The staff members who assisted with administration, teaching, preparing meals and behind the scenes need to be applauded for all their outstanding efforts to making this a great academy. I would like to personally thank, Noah who assisted with a lot of our training. He has a great work ethic and attitude, he is an assist to this company :)

  I did my stewardess and Stcw course at the end of April and lived on campus. The facilities are amazing! Especially the staff, Shemaine, Tommy, Paul and Noah were all so so friendly. Along with Chesca too! If staying in, the food they provide is delicious. Will definitely recommend anyone and everyone to this place!

  Galileo Maritime Academy by far exceeds all standards when it comes to meeting the requirements of an MCA STCW training facility.
  It is a true gem located in wonderful surroundings in Phuket.
  The management team and instructors are both professional and meticulous in all areas of STCW training which they provide to each student.
  The food, snacks, soft drinks, cold face towels, shower facilities and towels provided, are the ‘icing on the cake’ while enduring the challenging obstacles of each course.
  Training equipment, fire suits, life jackets , immersion suits etc are well maintained, thoroughly cleaned and laundered after each use.
  Having undergone similar training at facilities in US , UK and India, Galileo Maritime Training Academy exceeds my expectations in ALL areas where knowledge is shared and STCW standards are held in high regard.
  Big thank you to Shemaine, Tom, Paul and all the other staff who work behind the scenes to ensure this facility excels at being the leading International Maritime Academy in Asia Pacific, a title it truly deserves.

  I completed my STCW and powerboat course here at Galileo and had a amazing time doing it! Shemaine and Tom were great teachers. Noah, Paul and all the other staff were top help also. The course is laid out extremely well and enables you to learn and have fun all together. They have great accommodations, swimming pool and recreation room with a pool table also.. Enjoyed everyday spent there. I have to mention Toms cooking aswel, it was delightful. Thank you to the team there. You were awesome! I wish you all the best!

  I would not recommend this school to anyone, their service is bad, poor management, lack of willingness to work, the lady at the front desk is rude and was not helpful at all. I am still waiting for an email from them. I was trying to get some courses done while I am in the marina but they were able to make it impossible. I am glad I did not give them my money for the course.

  I did the STCW and Deckhand course at Galileo. The staff was super friendly and competent and the facility was great. Shemaine and Tom were great host's. They do their best to make you feel comfortable. I can really recommend this school.

  I just spent 4 days at Galileo Academy, i was there to renew 5 STW2010 certificates.
  The academy is set in a beautiful location in the Yacht haven and they have some very nice accommodation for candidates taking courses.
  Everything is well run there and the instructors were very professional, a big thanks to Thomas and Shemaine as they went out of there way to accommodate my needs and time for the courses.
  I highly recommend this academy for any courses you need, and there prices are very competitive compared to other training facility's in Thailand.

  Recently did my stcw refresher here. First time I did this was at a different school in Phuket in 2015. I noticed a much higher standard of training this time around. Tom the Filipino trainer is a good teacher. Certification (for stcw) is legit and they are listed in the MCA list if you check.
  No double pricing for Thais/foreigners that I could see. Something that is a real turn off.
  Facilities are great. Basically new. Plus they have made a replica multi level boat fire scenario from shipping containers.
  Negatives are hard to find. If I was to be overly critical I might suggest a better provided meal for the price you pay.
  Anyway, a legitimate training facility in lovely surroundings.

  Top quality maritime academy located on Phuket. They offer a variety of courses which are well organised and catered for. There is the option to stay at their on-campus accommodation (clean, convenient fully catered) or to find your own accommodation nearby.
  
  The instructors and staff are accommodating and friendly and the facilities are top-notch: rescue boats, motorboat, (on land) galley, a warehouse with a number of engines (for dismantling and rebuilding), a recreation room, living quarters, fire rooms (with fairly new fire fighting equipment for firefighting practice), pool and much more.
  
  The food provided is delicious. However, there are also some nice restaurants within walking distance.
  
  The location is ideal: not far from the airport, on the marina and surrounded by beauty!
  
  All in all, everything is to a high standard and provided for. The rest of your experience is what you (and your teammates) make of it.

  I recently attended GMA to do some refresher courses for my British Master Class1 CoC. The courses were excellent. The staff were very professional and the courses succinct and to the point.
  The facilities for the courses were excellent as was the accommodation and meals. The location was not too bad either.
  I will definitely be returning, and would recommend GMA to anyone looking to update their CoC's or further their continuous professional development (CPD).

  Everything was exactly as expected .... Tom and Shameine are two professionals (they have been on board for a long time and "they know of what they are talking about" - you know what I mean -) The crew helping them are very nice people capable of making you feel at home .... the Owner, Anthony, will introduce you to the secret of the vessels design , tell you story of the origin of the terminology commonly used nowadays and help you out promoting yourself optimizing your CV for the position you aspire to fullfil in this industry ..... Everything for me was worth every single € I've spent and the reason why I say this it's because I'm commenting this post sit in my first yacht "Mess" area ..... Ready for my first trip as a crew member after only few weeks from the end of my courses..... And check my age because I'm not a spring chicken anymore ..... Thank you GALILEO with all my heart

  An excellent STCW 2010 course run by very experienced and competent personnel. The classes were conducted in a fun but serious manner, with the primary Trainers displaying an approachable but professional attitude. This, along with the STCW having MCA accreditation, I highly recommend studying at GMA. You won't be disappointed.
  
  Be prepared for a difficult fire fighting practical with full kit including BA set. There's no garden hose here!
  
  Special thanks to Tom, Shermaine, the Thai assistant trainers, and staff at the Academy.

  Waste of money. There's no help at all to find a job after training and to be honest it a pretty basic training. You don't really learn that much. I don't recommend it.

  If you live in SE Asia and need MCA approved STCW courses then this is the place to come. I completed STCW basic and advanced refresher courses here in December 2018. Facilities and staff all very good. Much cheaper than going back to the UK and I brought my family along and had a very nice break in Phuket too!

  It's not real position of the Academy, hoop they remove it because taxi bring you there and before you are at the actual place you've been driving around for an hour. Real time 10 min from airport in the Yacht Haven.
