  STC-SA, I would highly recommend! I spent two weeks training with STC-SA Durban branch. I had such a great experience. STC-SA have some of the very best, brilliant, professional and experienced instructors out there. This was such a great experience, I will definitely come back again for a few other courses as well!

  Been trying to book for STCW course no luck. I called from 8am till 1pm no one is picking up the call in the admin department. I sent several emails no replies.
  Does this place really exist?
  What does one have to do to get assisted?

  I give it a 3 star rating because it's a nice facility and very good and professional staff. The only issue is the address, come on guys couldn't you find a nicer area? Hannah Road is very unsafe and there is way too much going on with the trucks and stuff. And don't get me started on the lack of parking space. Firstly, We have to park our cars on the street and then on your way out there is a huge chance that you will get mugged or hijacked. With the cost of your courses, I think, we the client deserve a much better venue. And a place where we can feel safe.

  Very good training installations. I was sent to STC to undergo BOSIET/HUET training as it was a pre requirement to undertake offshore work. I enjoyed my time there, the people and the instructors were very professionals. Straight A to them!

  Over the past 2 weeks several emails were sent to confirm bookings and payment for STCW courses including follow up emails but no reply and zero intrest. Completely and utterly useless! Better do your courses in Cape Town for efficient and professional service.

  I did my STCW 2010 course through Grindrod shipping academy.... I had an absolutely amazing experience with them. The facilities and instructors are outstanding. The theory and practicals were also really fantastic. I would highly recommend this academy to anyone wanting to complete a variety of courses that they offer. Keep up the amazing work

  The Unicorn Training School, situated in Durban on the east coast of South Africa, is a registered establishment that conducts courses required by the marine and allied industries. The School is accredited by SAMSA (South African Marine Safety Authority) and recognized by the MCA. Since 1975 the School has trained both seafarers and personnel for shore based sectors of trade. The school is not restricted by the Prospectus and courses can be tailor-made to suit requirements. The co-ordination centre at the School takes bookings and arranges a variety of courses at various other training institutions.
