Having been in operation since 2004, the company has gone from strength to strength in both developing and delivering MCA approved training courses to the highest industry standards.  Our highly trained staff & tutors have extensive industry experience, making us one of the most experienced training providers you will find.

So why do your STCW at Seascope?

We pride ourselves on the quality of training you receive at Seascope. We run our course to the highest standards in accordance with the regulations and the stringent requirements of the MCA.

  • We keep our groups of students to small numbers to ensure each student gains maximum benefits from the tuition.
  • We have a highly trained in-house team of Instructors and Firefighters to teach you to the highest standards in a fun and friendly learning environment.
  • We provide you with the correct equipment and ensure you know how to use it. For example during your Sea Survival module, you must learn how to correctly don an Immersion suit. We equip all our students with the neccessary Immersion Suits AND Life Jackets to wear in the water.  This is extremely important to experience, as you may one day be presented with a real life emergency, and it is imperative you know how to put on the Immersion suit in order to prevent life threatening hypothermia.
  • Our Fire facility is located in an Active Fire Station within the area. There is no need to travel by bus for several hours to take this course which would waste valuable time that should be used for your tuition.  As we use a professional facility, we have professionally trained Firefighters on hand to intervene in the event of an emergency.

Our STCW Basic Training course is run in accordance with Regulation V1/1, paragraph 1 Section A-VI/1, paragraph 2.1 of the STCW Convention and Code as 1978 amended.

In the United Kingdom, Seascope are the market leaders in delivering STCW95 courses.   Working alongside some of the biggest shipping companies in the world such as Stenaline and Thomson Cruises, and providing also a recruitment service, many of our previous students have gone on to work on vessels ranging from 600 tons to 100,000 tons.

So whether you wish to work on a Cruise Liner or a Super Yacht, you can contact Seascope today and avail of professional training courses at a very competitive price.
