Northeast Maritime is a gem of a school, the front desk/admin staff were super helpful to me as someone new to the maritime industry looking for something very specific to start my first role, and were very generous with their time and wanting to help out!

The courses and way they do training is a bit spread out, but every instructor was efficient and the online course for basic training worked fine. Met a lot of great professionals local to the New England, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts area.

This college cares about its students!

Avoid this training center at all cost! The instructors take up to 4 days to return an email or voice message. Even the front desk took over a week and I actually had to call them back to even get a response. Online courses people study on weekend and nights, that's why they are taking online courses. You will never get a response on weekends after hours or while you are trying to study.
THIS COMPANY IS TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COST!!
I HOPE THIS REVIEW WILL SAVE SOMEONE ELSE FROM LOOSING THERE MONEY. THEY WILL BURN YOU!!!!!!!

My experience with Northeast was a two part process...first part was online at home in Texas, second part involved a trip to there school campus in New Bedford Massachusetts. The over all online experience was very professional and user friendly. Once I arrived at there campus and checked in the staff was friendly and very aware of me the student, all of the materials I needed for the assessment where ready. At the beginning of the day the instructor took the 6 students that were present on a tour of the campus then into a class room where we discussed the activities of the day, COMMUNICATION AND AWARENESS...so awesome, from that period of instruction the students went to the simulator room set up for Helmsman training that involved RFPNW certification. The instructor was very serious about the simulator training being done, but was very down to earth on the student level. Great place to get periods of instruction and training for the maritime industry.

I would have gave it zero stars if I could, absolute waste of 2 weeks, 4 of the 14 students passed after retaking the tests for a second day. Terrible communications from the front office, save your money and find a better school.
