Novikontas Maritime College is a private educational and training institution with a main goal to provide efficient and useful competence gaining and attitude development for those who work at sea or plan to start carrier at sea. All STCW required courses, College and upgrade programs for Navigators and Marine Engineers available. Diverse approach, state-of-the-art equipment, team of motivated personnel leads us to the place among significant players in training and education in Europe. We train and educate seafarers and attract youngsters to go to sea by promoting Sea profession in various manners such as competitions, lectures, articles and own examples.

I had a sea survival course at Novikontas Training Center in Riga. Next day after the course I started to feel bad itching in groin area. 3 days later I had a very sore open wounds in my groin area. In pain I did seek medical and dermatological assistance, did a few tests from skin. Results came back that it is Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infection...very dangerous and hard to treat bacteria living in water. To cure infection I did injections, have took antibiotics for 3 weeks, applied 2 different ointments.

It is very hard time and extremely unpleasant experience which affected private life plans and caused many discomfort. I have contacted the Novikontas 4 times trying somehow resolve the issue, but got very unconstructive talk and staff not being interested in issue.

I tried to push them to improve the disinfection procedures as infection is very strong and can easily survive disinfection in weak concentrate, but still got the reply back that once in a month the do checks and all is good((((

Surprised at how irresponsible people are that I care more about their future trainees then they do.

I personally never will use their service.

Been there for Ice Navigation course (March 2020). Not sure about the price that the Company paid for the course so can not say if this is an expensive training center or not. The Ice Navigation trainer (Capt. Hohlovs Sergejs) was very professional, with lots of experience in ice nav. Transas simulator working fine and looking very realistic. Lunch was served in the training center and was included in the expenses paid by my Company. Nice restaurant, good/very good food (not excellent). Coffee breaks (free coffee from vending machine) were allowed every one hour, lunch break was of approx. one hour. Courses start 09:00, finish approx. 16:00. Transportation to/from hotel was covered by the Company; reception of the training course was calling the taxi each day. Overall, good experience, in a very nice city.

Ужасное место , где лгут на каждом шагу и если Ты кому-то не понравился из преподов и т.д.- пиши пропало- будут гнобить, унижать , уничтожать до самого конца . + обманщики + берут в 2-3 раза больше денег за различные курсы , чем в других местах .

Нормальный учебный центр.Только цены всё-таки покусываются.В Лиепае на порядок дешевле,только там к сожалению не все модули есть.
